BigMachines, Inc., a leader in sales configurator, B2B ecommerce, quoting and proposal software-as-a-service (SaaS), today announced that Acme Packet, the leader in session border control solutions, has successfully deployed BigMachines on-demand software to streamline sales quoting and forecasting.

Acme Packet reports they BigMachines helps them expand their business without  having to increase support personnel.  Benefits of their sales configuration, quoting and proposal process are:

1. smoother quoting process
2. increased rate of new products and SKUs
3. improved manufacturing forecasts
4. improved data analysis
5. sales auditing controls

Way back on June 16th, BigMachines and Vendavo announced a new partnership.  Vendavo is a provider of B2B price management and optimization solutions with their Deal Pricing Insight OnDemand and Deal Pricing Optimization OnDemand solutions

Customers will be able to access price analytics and optimizing features of Vendavo, while taking advantage of BigMachines quoting and configuration tools, with the goal of reaching higher margins and profits.

BigMachines announced that they are opening local offices to spearhead their push into the Japanese market.  As in previous market launches, they have localised their SaaS based product configurator accordingly.  Their Tokyo office will be a full serviced center.

Often touts its integration with salesforce.com, the original article, interestingly notes their integration with Oracle CRM on demand.

Product configurator technology took a top spot in the OnDemand Top 100.  AlwaysOn selected the sales configuration and quotation package of BigMachines based on their leadership in five areas:  stakeholder value, innovation, buzz, commercialisation and market potential.

Ceremonies are on April, 19 at HP’s World HQ in Palo Alto, CA.

BigMachines, a SaaS product configurator technology provider, is hosting an invitation only event where they are presenting best practices to their customers.  In addition to best practice product configuration cases, they will be holding a brainstorming session for their upcoming product roadmaps and product configurator development.  Attendees will also expect to get the latest about customer support updates and product features.
