With their Salesforce Tacton configurator, Tacton provides organizations with Sales Configuration and CPQ functionality to Salesforce CRM.  The Salesforce Tacton configurator will available via the Salesforce.com AppExchange in Autumn 2010.

Being fully compliant with the latest Salesforce CRM, the Tacton has is offering three key points in their configurator offering:

1. Configuration functionality for interactive sales configuration and guided selling
2. Dynamic pricing for price calculation and optimization during the configuration session.
3. Automatic document generation of complex and professional custom quote, proposal and order documentation, enhancing the standard the Salesforce Real Time Quote functionality.

Although the Salesforce Tacton configurator will not be available on the AppExchange until Autumn, Tacton clients are already planning to be using this system this summer.

Way back on June 16th, BigMachines and Vendavo announced a new partnership.  Vendavo is a provider of B2B price management and optimization solutions with their Deal Pricing Insight OnDemand and Deal Pricing Optimization OnDemand solutions

Customers will be able to access price analytics and optimizing features of Vendavo, while taking advantage of BigMachines quoting and configuration tools, with the goal of reaching higher margins and profits.

Scheidt & Bachmann, a global player in automated parking complexes, have signed on Camos to provide them with product configuration, quote generation and order processing.  Integrated to their product planning system, Scheidt & Bachmann is expecting to see benefits rolling out their new configurator.

The tight integration between their ordering and product planning allows headquarters and its 70 regional subsidiaries and associate access all product variations available and any one time and make last minute changes without any additional financial burdens for themselves or their customes.

Joining as a silver partner, PTC admitted TDCI to their Partner Advantage program.  PTC is a technology provider of content managment systems which include document creation and management as well as visualisation of parametric CAD models.

TDCI is hoping to benefit from access to the PTC resources and technology.   They have interfaced their BuyDesign guided selling, product configuration and 3D visualisation software  (Flex3D) platform with PTC Pro/ENGINEER.
